GRANTS COACHLINES FAQ
Here at Grant’s Coachlines, we get asked a lot of different questions from our customers on a daily basis. Here are some of the more common ones we have outlined for you.
Of course if there is anything extra you would like to know, best thing to do is give us a call on (08) 8347 2333.
No, all of our vehicles come supplied with our own drivers.
Of course !. Where possible we always try to accommodate our customers requests, and all of our drivers are always more than happy to offer their services to past groups if they had a great experience.
Generally we try and cover all of SA, and are always more than happy to work with you to ensure that your next planned trip is a great one, no matter where you may be wanting to travel. Ask us today for more information, or to get a no obligation free quote.
As a general rule we do not allow the consumption of alcohol onboard our vehicles. If you would like to further discuss any requirements you may have with regard to this, please ensure to give one of our friendly staff a call on (08) 8347 2333.
We work to your instruction for pick up and drop off locations. Provided there is safe, reasonable and legal access our coaches can meet groups anywhere that is required.
We have not listed our charges on this website because there are some variables involved in pricing each charter trip, including season-based pricing. It is best to quote for each trip individually. So the more itinerary details you can give us, e.g. passenger numbers, date, pick up address and timing preferences, the more accurately and cost-effectively we can quote your job and give you the most cost-effective solution. Call us today on (08) 83477 2333 to discuss your next trip.
Generally, a coach is designed for long distance travel, with lots of luggage space, big comfortable seats with lots of leg room, possibly a toilet, a high floor level so you are above cars with a good view, tinted windows and curtains, with a high quality sound system with TV/DVD, plus loads of other passenger focused comfort features.
A bus, while it can share some features with a coach, such as air conditioning, is designed for short fast operations around cities so has fewer comfort features and assumes you won’t sit for long. It will have low floor access, so you sit closer to the ground.
All drivers are governed by legislation with respect to work hours, the main points being:
- No more than 14 hours working within a 24 hour period including a 1hr meal break.
- Maximum single driving period must not exceed 5 ½ hours at a time – and must be followed by a minimum half hour rest period/break.
- A continuous break between duties of at least 10 hours in any 24 hour period.
We are happy to discuss your travel plans to cover these requirements.
